The best way to preserve freshness is to keep raw food frozen until you need it.
If you're preparing meals for the next day, transfer the portion you'll need from the freezer to the refrigerator and allow it to thaw slowly. This helps maintain food quality while reducing the risk of bacterial growth.
Avoid thawing raw food on the kitchen counter or outside in warm temperatures.
Once thawed, raw dog food should remain refrigerated until mealtime.
A good rule of thumb is to feed thawed meals within 2–3 days, although always follow the storage recommendations provided on the packaging.
If you've portioned meals into containers, keep them sealed in the refrigerator until you're ready to feed.
